Google and Udacity have launched a free course designed to make it simpler for users to grasp the fundamentals of machine learning. The online learning hub Udacity is extremely popular among software developers and others who need to continually stay on top of new technologies.
Udacity regularly co-creates content with leading technology providers like Amazon, facebook, Google, IBM and others. The free introductory course course designed by Google is aligned closely with TensorFlow, the open-source library for deep learning software developed by Google.

This new course is part of Udacity’s ‘School of A.I.,’ a set of free courses to help those new to A.I. and machine learning get up to speed. The launch of this new course coincides with the release of TensorFlow 2.0 alpha, which Udacity says is “a major milestone and has been redesigned with a focus on simplicity, developer productivity, and ease of use”
Udacity describes the course:
Learn how to build deep learning applications with TensorFlow. This course was developed by the TensorFlow team and Udacity as a practical approach to deep learning for software developers. You’ll get hands-on experience building your own state-of-the-art image classifiers and other deep learning models. You’ll also use your TensorFlow models in the real world on mobile devices, in the cloud, and in browsers. Finally, you’ll use advanced techniques and algorithms to work with large datasets. By the end of this course, you’ll have all the skills necessary to start creating your own AI applications.
TensorFlow is a core open source library to help you develop and train ML models. It offers multiple levels of abstraction so you can choose the right one for your needs. Build and train models by using the high-level Keras API, which makes getting started with TensorFlow and machine learning easy. TensorFlow is a free and open-source software library for dataflow and differentiable programming across a range of tasks. It is a symbolic math library, and is also used for machine learning applications such as neural networks
Other tech majors are also offering courses in machine learning: Amazon Web Services (AWS) being the latest tech giant to release a set of machine-learning courses for free. Other well-regarded material available online include fast.ai and Andrew Ng and Coursera.
